Private movement in Icherisheher

Icherisheher is Baku’s walled Inner City. Many restaurants cannot be reached by Maybach at the door. A private movement depends on a briefed waiting point and, during Grand Prix week, on street-circuit closures.

Access

Icherisheher is a UNESCO-listed fortress district. Several addresses require a short walk from a legal waiting point.

The chauffeur is briefed on where the vehicle may wait, where passengers alight, and where the return pickup should stand. Public ride-hailing pins frequently fall on the wrong side of a pedestrian gate.

Vehicles are unmarked. Restaurant entrances are confirmed in advance. Where public exposure is unacceptable, a private dinner at an Absheron residence is the cleaner arrangement.

Grand Prix week

Cars are pre-positioned. A short walk is used where barriers require it. Hospitality on the waterfront and dinner inside the walls are treated as two timed movements, sometimes with two vehicles.

Baku City Circuit runs the Caspian waterfront and then Icherisheher. In 2026 the race is Saturday 26 September at 11:00. From Thursday 24 September the inner approaches change with each session.
